Greek Costumes Are Outstanding
Greek costumes are just beautiful for costume parties and also for Halloween. They have grandeur and style, reflecting the Greek tradition.
The Greek clothes were typically draped in different styles. Their clothes also reflected their power and status in society. There are two styles that the Chiton robe can be worn; till the ankles or the thighs. The sleeves were comfortable allowing easy arm movement. This outifit could be used by men and women. The tunic was actually two rectangular pieces of material that were woven together or held together with buttons that were made from bone.
The Himation was a long piece of cloth that is draped from shoulder to ankle. There were also Chalmys, which were cloaks that were wrapped in different styles around the body. Grey and violet were the more common colors, with white being another one in some traditions. Having free flowing material meant pins and brooches to hold them together.
As for footwear, sandals were popular using different kinds of leather. There were also boots with laces tied around the shin.
